This site sets no tracking cookies

You will not find the usual list of advertising and analytics cookies here, because the site does not set any. We use no Google Analytics or other web analytics, no advertising pixels, and we do not track your visits.

What is stored in your browser

So the site behaves as you expect, two settings are kept in your browser’s local storage — a technology distinct from cookies, whose essential difference is that this data is never sent to the server.

“zharnik-theme” remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. If you have not chosen, the site follows your system setting and stores nothing.

“zharnik-consent” remembers what you selected in the consent bar, so we do not ask on every visit.

Both values stay on your device, are readable only by this site, and cannot be used to recognise you elsewhere.

The admin area

Access to the content management system at /admin uses a session cookie required to keep an administrator signed in. It is created only after a successful login and concerns our staff, not site visitors.

How to clear this data

You can clear local storage from your browser’s privacy settings — usually together with cookies and site data. Afterwards the site will follow your system theme and ask for consent again.

You can also change your choice at any time from the consent settings link in the site footer.

If this changes

Should we ever add web analytics or another technology requiring consent, it will be described here and will not load before you have explicitly allowed it.
